An international automotive parts manufacturer in the Parkersburg, WV area is looking for a Quality Control Engineer. This position is in charge of implementing quality control processes and supervising quality personnel. The ideal candidate must be able to resolve quality issues with suppliers, ensure all standard operating procedures and countermeasures are used, and audit internal systems to prevent quality control issues. This is a direct-hire and a full-time position.What you will do for the Quality Control Engineer position:Investigate customer issues relating to qualityProvide technical and statistical expertiseSupport the deployment of Quality Management SystemMonitor the manufacturing quality performance indicatorsCoordinate objectives with production procedures to minimize costsImplement inspection criteria and proceduresApply total quality management tools to analytical processesDesign and develop quality control training programsCommunicate with vendors to make sure all the purchased parts and equipment meet the criteriaUse ISO 9001 system to ensure the quality on production processSupervise a team of quality control inspectorsWhat you will need for the Quality Control Engineer position:Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent experienceExperience in manufacturing quality assurance and/or control and continual improvementExperience in working automotive parts manufacturers is preferredExperience with IATF 16949 or ISO 9001Kaizen, 5S, or Lean Six Sigma experience requiredProven ability using Root Cause AnalysisWorking knowledge of networks and database systemsCapable of maintaining high confidentialityMust be willing to travel up to 15%This position will not support visa sponsorships and direct applicants only.
