What is the Role?
We are looking for an Xactimate Estimator to join our Estimating Department. You will be responsible for preparing estimates in Xactimate for commercial reconstruction jobs that we are performing.
Our office location is in Encino. From time to time you will travel to job sites to perform estimating work in the field and meet with adjustors and our superintendents.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering Xactimate estimates on time that are well written, fair and accurate. This includes but is not limited to
- Conducting site visits, as needed
- Communicating with restoration contractors or other sub-contractors, as needed
- Providing detailed, line-item scope and estimate for items within the project
- Flagging areas to your manager that are uncertain or need further investigation
- Documenting all dimensions, diagrams, and images of each room or section
- Identifying and documenting all tasks that must be performed in each room or section
- Identifying and documenting any exclusions; where work to be performed may be out of scope or additional
- Help to resolve disputes or questions with insurance adjustors as needed.
What is required?
- A minimum of 3 years of estimating using Xactimate.
- Prior experience as a property adjuster or building consultant preferred.
- Must be able to work in person at our Encino office 5 days per week and commute to job sites when needed.
- You are able to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law.
Compensation: $75,000- $150,000/ year
