DescriptionTITLE:Yard Attendant LOCATION: Midland
POSITION REPORTS TO:Terminal Manager
COMPENSATION: Hourly.Commensurate with experience
SCHEDULE:TBNRESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow safe work practices
- Participate actively in the company's safety culture and attend all required safety meetings
- Dig, shovel and clean when and where necessary
- Assist fuel island and truck wash operation
- Assist in tank set-up
- Maintain and repair equipment including servicing pumps, meters and other company equipment
- Move, secure, load and unload materials using proper tools and equipment
- Operate a variety of light and heavy equipment including power tools to complete tasks
- Manual labor as instructed
- Maintain quality control in yard and in field
- Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of the yard in a neat and orderly condition including tracking inventory
- Retrieve parts from vendors in the area when instructed
- Other tasks as assigned by manager
QualificationsBASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum age 18
- Must live within 60 miles of the terminal. LOCALS ONLY
- Must be able to pass background screening including MVR and criminal
- Valid Driver's License
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Experience operating power and manual tools and light and heavy equipment
- Ability to exert 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25-50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10-20 pounds of force constantly
- Ability to bend, sit, squat, stand, crawl, walk and reach above shoulder
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Ability to work a variety of hours, overtime and nights if needed
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers and customers and to work well with others in a fast paced work environment
