Gate Precast Company Monroeville, Alabama Position: Travel Crane Operator YardJob Summary: Load, store and move panels as required for loading and production in the safest manner as well as ensuring no damage is done to panels. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Move panels from finishing area to storage area as required for production.Move panels from storage area to loading area and/or on trailers as required for providing materials to jobsites.Perform daily preventative maintenance to machinery as required.Assist in inspecting rigging for flaws or defect due to usage or damage. Ensure all riggers are in a safe location prior to picking up loads.Working Conditions:Outdoor working environment. Exposed to adverse weather.Frequently exposed to machine noise associated with heavy equipment.Exposed to dust associated with finishing concrete panels.Education/Experience/Qualifications:High School education or above preferred.Yard Crane Operator experience preferred.Physical Requirements:Must be able to wear personal protection (PPE) such as steel work boots, hard hats, hi-vis vests, safety glasses and hearing protection. This is an outdoor work environment: Exposure to sun, heat, humidity, cold, wind, light rain, sand and dust. Works close by and exposed to moving construction vehicles such as forklifts, front-end loaders, cranes and tractor-trailers. Benefits:
