High Steel Structures is one of the largest steel fabricators in North America. The company produces steel superstructures for bridges, including some of the most iconic structures in the nation. The company also supplies girders and weldments for construction and industrial applications.
We are currently hiring for a Yard Groundsperson on 1st shift, in Lancaster, PA.
Description:
* Will Perform all required duties to pre-punch or pre-drilled holes at splice section of steel bridge girders.
* Will match mark plates, as necessary.
* Will walk with and guide the MI Jack; chain products to trucks; set blocking for loading and storing products.
* Will be responsible to use electric drills to drill holes where needed.
Our next co-worker will ideally possess the following:
* A high school diploma or GED
* Willingness work outdoors, 100% of the time, in all weather conditions, is required.
* Previous yard or general laborer experience preferred.
* Experience using hand and power tools, include drills.
* Forklift certification desired, or willingness to obtain while on the job.
* The ability to read, write, and follow directions.
