To supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in loading, unloading and delivery of materials and in the use and maintenance of machines and equipment in the lumber yard and in the warehouse. Location. This position will be performed onsite at our store. Remote work is not available for this role. Outcomes for Success. Screen, interview and hire applicants for employment. Train outside employees in job responsibilities and product knowledge of items stored in yard and warehouse. Conduct appraisals of performance. Receive incoming materials and direct storage in proper area. Prepare and reconcile bills of lading and packing slips. Direct customer loading and employee load building. Directs workers and assists in loading, unloading, and delivery of materials and in use and care of machines and equipment such as trucks, forklifts, and saws. Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, load limits, and that load is safe.
