We are seeking students who are interested in working year-round, preferably freshman, sophomore, or junior status. The work schedule is flexible and can be designed to accommodate the course commitments of the successful candidate. A flexible work schedule includes up to 25 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer months. As an intern, you will support our environmental management team in delivering on our vision and commitment to compliant and sustainable operations. You will build knowledge and experience in our business objectives, processes, systems, and services. You will have extensive contact with team members and interact with senior leaders. There will also be the opportunity to put your leadership, technical skills, and business knowledge to immediate use through high-value project assignments. Internship opportunities are available in a variety of areas within our environmental management team giving you opportunities to work with subject matter experts in air, water, and waste compliance. As well as on projects driving sustainability and conservation. In addition, we have opportunities to work with our environmental services & technology team on data analytics and Tableau reporting projects. We will work with you to determine the best placement based upon your education, skill set, and preferences. You will be assigned projects equivalent to those of an analyst and will be given the opportunity to manage a project from start to finish. The estimated wage for this position is between $20-$23 per hour. Final rate of pay will be based on several factors including year of study, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Accountabilities
  • Assist with project management for various company initiatives and special projects
  • Learn and perform core business group work tasks, processes, and customer services
  • Perform administrative support for business group managers
  • Develop and execute project action plans and perform team assignments
  • Build and strengthen a network of professional contacts across the company
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications - Required
  • College credits equivalent to one year toward an undergraduate degree
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic organization, prioritization and time/project management skills
Qualifications - Preferred
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Advanced interpersonal skills
  • Advanced problem solving skills
Physical and Mental Job Requirements
  • This position requires extended periods of sitting and extended hours in front of computer screens
  • Maintain concentration, focuses on tasks and can make timely decisions
Work Conditions
  • Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
