- Winter and Spring: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.
About the Family: A highly private family of five, consisting of two dads and three high school-aged children, spends summers in Montauk, primarily on weekends. From the end of July through August, they reside there full-time. During the rest of the summer, they visit for long weekends. From October through May, their visits are more flexible, as they occasionally spend weekends at the home. Job Description: A professional A+ Executive Housekeeper is needed to manage the housekeeping of a large formal home in Montauk. This position requires a highly experienced individual with a proven track record in household management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. The Executive Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the home in immaculate condition, with experience in setting tables and serving. The ideal candidate will have a take charge attitude and work seamlessly with another housekeeper and the chef. This is a live-out role, and applicants must reside locally within driving distance of Montauk. Key Responsibilities:
- Housekeeping:
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of a large 5-bedroom home.
- Perform all aspects of housekeeping, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Launder and iron clothing, linens, and other household items.
- Will overlap Housekeeping tasks with family's Housekeeper from NYC.
- Home Management:
- Ensure the home is kept in immaculate condition at all times.
- Manage household supplies inventory.
- Troubleshoot tv and email/password issues as needed.
- Meal Prep & Serving:
- Assist light meal prep on occasion, reheat, and serve food left by the chef.
- Assist in serving dinner.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in housekeeping, preferably in a formal home.
- Proven experience managing a large home independently.
- High level of professionalism and discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Hard working, positive energy, proactive.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with hospitality and serving guests.
