Our services are low-cost, medically accurate, and developmentally appropriate. ATC sponsors a retirement plan with a 3% employer contribution after one year of service.A Typical Day in the Life...A typical day as The Annex's Young Adult Council Facilitator provides an opportunity to recruit and train BIPOC youth leaders, deliver fact-based sexuality education, and facilitate youth development programs across schools, community organizations, and other settings, and might include the following:
  • Facilitating fact-based sexuality education programs for young people, including single-session and multi-session sexuality education programs.
  • Building community relationships to facilitate parent education.
  • Collaborating with partner organizations, schools, and Annex educators to deliver high-quality programming.
  • Building partnerships to facilitate professional development trainings.
  • Engaging in professional development to grow skills and knowledge around human sexuality, youth development, and facilitating sexuality education programs.
  • Recruiting BIPOC youth leaders between the ages of 18-21 to serve on the council and provide education programming.
  • Promoting and scheduling programming.
  • Serving as an expert referral source for young people, parents/caregivers, educators, and social service providers.
  • Participating in professional meetings and work groups, both internally and externally; building strategic coalitions; and building and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Recruiting for and facilitating out-of-school time programs.
  • Collecting and entering program data in a timely manner.
  • Writing and submitting monthly reports and other reports as needed.
Who You Are
  • You have a bachelor's degree in education, youth development, human services, or a relevant field, or you have demonstrably equivalent knowledge gained through alternative courses of study and life experience.
  • You have experience providing fact-based sexuality education.
  • You have experience recruiting and running engaging youth groups.
  • You are experienced in building community partnerships.
  • You have experience facilitating parent education & professional development trainings.
  • You are skilled at planning, prioritizing, and closely monitoring work plans and other administrative tasks with your supervisor and as part of a team.
  • You have experience planning, organizing, coordinating, and staffing promotional efforts at community events and health fairs.
  • You can manage multiple projects, deadlines, and changing priorities.
  • You are passionate about sexuality education and working with young people from diverse communities.
  • You possess exceptional public speaking, facilitation, and writing skills.
  • You are highly motivated, self-directed, outgoing, organized, and excited to work on a team.
  • You are skilled at engaging and building relationships with youth, parents, and community members.
  • You have a valid driver's license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet Annex Teen Clinic's driving record requirements. Please note that if the license was not issued in the state of Minnesota, you have 60 days after becoming a Minnesota resident in which to apply for your Minnesota driver's license or permit.
