YOUNG ADULT PASTORThe Young Adult Pastor will lead the young adult ministry. They will lead young adults to be growing followers of Jesus who encounter him through discipleship, worship, and the Word. This role involves developing and overseeing services and events that engage young adults (ages 18-30) while providing pastoral care, mentorship, and leadership.ScheduleThis is a full-time salaried position, Sunday through Thursday. It includes Tuesday evenings and other times for meetings, activities, and retreats.Experience & Abilities
Education: A bachelor's degree in theology, ministry, or a related field is preferred. Experience: Multi-year experience leading and developing young adult or college ministry in a large church setting. License/Certification: Maintain ministerial licensing through WCMN and have a valid PA driver's license. Specific Abilities: A deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to spiritual growth. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with an ability to connect with young adults. A heart for mentoring and pastoral care. Alignment with the church's mission, vision, and values.Key Responsibilities:Vision and Strategy: - Manage and communicate a compelling vision for the young adult ministry that aligns with the church's mission. - Create and implement strategies for engaging and growing the young adult community. - Set measurable goals and regularly evaluate the effectiveness of the ministry.Ministry Development: - Plan and execute weekly services, retreats, and events. This includes sermon prep and presentation. - Organize retreats and outreach activities to foster community and spiritual growth. - Collaborate with other ministry leaders to integrate young adults into the broader life of the church.Pastoral Care: - Provide spiritual guidance, mentorship, and counseling to young adults. - Develop and lead the Care & Connect team, fostering deep connections and spiritual accountability. - Be available for individual meetings and crisis intervention as needed.Leadership and Volunteer Development: - Recruit, train, and equip volunteers and leaders within the young adult ministry. - Encourage young adults to take active roles in the life of the church.Communication and Outreach: - Maintain regular communication with young adults through social media, email, and other channels. - Promote events and activities within the church and the wider community.Integration and Collaboration: - Work closely with other ministry leaders to ensure a cohesive approach to ministry across age groups. - Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and church-wide initiatives. - Support the overall mission and vision of the church through active involvement and collaboration. - Other duties as assigned.Foundational RequirementsHave a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.Live a lifestyle that reflects Biblical standards.Be a member of Worship Center, or willing to become a member.Attend worship services regularly and participate in the life of the church family.Tithe to Worship Center.Fully embrace WC Staff Culture Values.Staff Culture Values1.
