SUMMARY Brooklyn Nets Basketball Academy is seeking a part-time basketball clinician to assist and/or lead youth basketball clinics and camps. WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead basketball drills and games at youth basketball clinics and camps;
- Instruct and demonstrate skill sets and techniques necessary for individual and team development;
- Interact thoughtfully and respectfully with children, fellow clinicians, and
- Drive engagement for local community members and basketball leagues;
- Identifies new basketball drills and ideas to advance basketball training;
- Create awareness and attention of the Basketball Academy brand;
- Create relationships with the basketball community that will help expand the Basketball Academy brand;
- Other duties as assigned;
WHO YOU ARE
- College Degree preferred;
- 3 years of youth development & coaching experience;
- Minimum 2 years of High School basketball playing experience;
- Strong knowledge of basketball rules;
- Must be able to work in a team environment;
- Highly communicative, excellent verbal skills;
- Must have flexible schedule and have availability during the mornings and afternoons on weekdays
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS The incumbent will be required to travel to various areas within the NYC Metro Area.
