**Description**
**The Youth Care Specialist Floater engages and involves youth in productive and constructive activities in the cottage, school, and during cue exposure opportunities. The floater has an understanding of individual youths treatment targets and needs. The Specialist works with the youth so that he can successfully transition back to his home environment or a lower level of care. The floater provides eyes on/ears on supervision of youth at all times.**

**The Youth Care Specialist Floater shows dedication and willingness to work alongside the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM), supporting and carrying out the functions of the model to best serve the population. The Floater is expected to have a nonjudgmental approach that focuses on skill building and basic principles of behavior (reinforcement, extinction, blocking and shaping). The Floater is required to function as part of a team, committing to modeling pro social behavior and building positive relationships with all residents.**
**Position Qualifications:**
* **High School Diploma with a minimum of four (4) years direct care experience at a residential treatment center or youth correctional setting**
* **A college degree with a minimum of two (2) years experience at a residential treatment center or youth correctional setting preferred**
* **Ability to manage and promote a therapeutic environment, taking into account the varying clinical needs of each resident.**
* **Must possess exceptional time management and attention to detail skills**
