In addition, this position would assist with summer programs and other seasonal programs as assigned.ResponsibilitiesWith regards to Salvation Army children's programming:Lead after-school program for kids.Pick up children and drop them offLead Sunday schoolAble to play an instrument to lead kids worshipHelp with food preparation of programsPassion for the kingdom of God. Burning desire to reach out to the kids in the community.Passion to lead children and youth to Christ.Assist Corps Officer with planning and oversight of Corps troops programs, and other youth programs as assignedOversee / organize Music and Arts program for childrenServe in team ministry for the leadership of these programsSubmit needed statistics and reports as assignedWith regards to other program and administrative assignments:Assist with Seasonal program activities as neededOversee Corps Camp Ladore Camper recruitment each springOversee and/or assist with various Summer ministry programs and servicesAssist where possible in Sunday worship ministrySubmit needed statistics and reports as assignedAssist with transportation of youth to Corps and/or Divisional activitiesServe as member of the Corps CouncilHandle other tasks, duties, and responsibilities as assigned by Corps OfficerThe above list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the candidate will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post.QualificationsActive Senior Soldier in The Salvation ArmyMust have passion for children's ministry and evangelismMust have excellent relational skills with children and adultsMust have good organizational skillsSalvation Army youth work experience preferredAbility to speak Spanish is a plus but not necessaryTraining and experience in urban ministry preferredMust have valid driver's license with good driving record.Must be able to obtain clearances required by the Joseph R.
