With general supervision of the Executive Director of Youth Development and/or the Youth Development Director of Early Childhood, the Youth Development Administrative Assistant works with the Program Director to deliver excellent customer service to all members, guests, and program participants. Responds to member and guest needs, performs day to day processing of paperwork and receipting functions for the YMCA Early Learning Academy Branch at Colonial. This position also maintains cleanliness and organization of the lobby area and maintains student files.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Fields all incoming calls to the branch.Enrolls children into Youth Development Programs at Colonial and maintains files.Organizes files, ensuring proper documentation and childcare licensing compliance.Assists with entering attendance for the CACFP food program.Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the Y and on the phone, contributing to member retention.Applies all YMCA policies dealing with member services.Adheres to association and position training requirements.Work various hours and locations to meet association needs.Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.YMCA COMPETENCIES (LEADER):Advancement: Accepts and demonstrates the Ys values. Accurately assesses personalQualificationsAge requirement 18+Highschool graduate or equivalent.Proficient in MS Office, including outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and Power Point.Certifications required within 60 days of hire: CPR/AED, and First Aid.Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and initiate program implementation or improvements as needed.Previous customer service, sales or related experience.Possess the organizational and communication (oral and written) skills needed to work in a busy work environment with a high degree of accuracy.Experience and or education in general accounting procedures.Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.Display the highest level of integrity and confidentiality at all times
