Job Type Full-time, Part-timeDescriptionIn your job as a Youth Development Professional at our J.D. Floyd Elementary Unit, you'll:
- Lead a group of up to 25 children, in Kindergarten through 5th grade, in before-and-after school programming
- Deal effectively with members concerning behavior and discipline issues
- Communicate effectively with children using appropriate language, tone of voice, and body language
- Participate in activities alongside members; Encourage and facilitate members' participation in all activities
- Ensure a fun, safe and healthy environment, both physically and mentally
- Establish positive relationships with children and act as a mentor and role model at all times
- Take attendance, complete incident/accident reports and guidance notices for behavior
- Assist in the care and maintenance of equipment and supplies and cleanliness of indoor/outdoor areas used
- HAVE FUN!
- Perform other related duties as assigned

- Monday through Friday
- Split Shift, approximately 6:15 - 9:30 AM AND 3:00 - 6:00 PM for approximately 30 hours/week

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation. You have to get to work twice a day!
- Reliable attendance!
- A positive attitude and the ability to lead by example

- Ability and willingness to complete training requirements within the 90-day introductory period.
- Ability to pass a Level II background check and pre-employment drug test
