Job Description Our Club staff members are educators, coaches, mentors, community leaders, and ambassadors. They don't just open the doors of our Clubs - they open the door to new worlds and possibilities for kids and communities across Metro Denver. The Club is seeking a creative and highly motivated candidate passionate about creating positive and supportive relationships with youth to serve in the role of Youth Development Specialist. The Youth Development Specialistplans, supervises, and implements a variety of high-yield activities and targeted programs revolving around these core areas: athletics, cultural arts, STEM, and education. Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • One year experience directly serving youth
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic classroom management and the ability to direct youth and provide them with clear steps and tools that support goals achievement.
  • Experience with lesson plan creation and implementation
  • Bilingual- Spanish preferred
  • Possession of a teaching certification or background in education
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple changing priorities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to complete reports, properly document programs, and utilize organizational data
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software
  • Excellent customer service skills

RequirementsConditions of Employment
  • Must be able to pass criminal and driving records investigations, and reference checks.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to be insured under the company's insurance policy.
  • The successful candidate will primarily work indoors. Accordingly, the ability to use a variety of equipment including janitorial and office equipment is required.
  • The job requires the ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, reach, bend, and lift objects weighing in excess of 25 lbs.
  • Outdoor work and moderate physically demanding activities may be required on occasion.
