Youth Ministry AssistantReports to: Associate Pastor of Life Stages | Student MinistriesFLSA Status: Non-Exempt| Full-time Hourly Position Purpose Assist in planning and organizing of projects associated with the Student Ministry.Main Responsibilities
- The organization and preparation of weekly Student Ministry services and special events
- Communication with volunteers, fundraising representatives, camp and retreat center staff, parents, and students.
- Plan and coordinate details of retreats or trips and their registrations, along with managing event check-ins and pick-ups.
Essential Duties
- Design and send out weekly e-newsletters for students, parents, advisors
- Create and manage trip and event registrations
- Update the website with current ministry information and updates
- Maintain contact with students, parents, and advisors and respond to their questions
- Assist in organizing fundraisers outside of and within Grace Church for the ministry
- Arrange accommodations with travel venues, transportation, and housing, etc. for events
- Create and update spreadsheets for registration and sign-ups
- Record incoming and outgoing finances as well as deposit funds into appropriate accounts
- Keep record of students' fundraiser earnings for trips
- Design, print, and distribute, informational cards/posters, bulletins, service orders/program flow, and booklets for retreats
- Manage room decor/set up for special events/ holidays, or weekly services
- Print and distribute group attendance sheets and weekly announcements
- Update student roster lists with new students or updated information of current students
- Possibly attend and serve as an advisor at youth group, small groups, trips, or retreats
Proficiencies Needed
- Ability to learn and master basic computer applications
- Highly administrative and organized
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and leadership skills
