DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Receives and maintains all information pertaining to the program. This position will be part of the finance/accounting department and must therefore maintain a high level of confidentiality. This position will have the potential to be cross trained in other accounting positions and must be a team player and must work to adhere to proper internal controls and possess a strong work ethic. Sets up programs in operations system for county schools 3. Registrations and payments scheduling 4. Invoicing and past due account follow-up 5. Terminations and removal from the program in operations 6. Daily communications and updates with parents 7. Refund analysis with Director approval 8. DSS vendor set up and activation with director approval 9. DSS and third-party payment and invoicing 10. Teacher work days and early dismissal program set up and registration 11. Childcare reimbursement forms(fill out, sign, and return) approval of finance director 12. Receipts and request for receipts and or documentation from parents 13. Reconcile Aged Receivable Report - Weekly - 14. Files appropriate documentation and maintains payable files when applicable. 15. Works with patrons to resolve payment matters. 16. Answers and provides information for new and interested families 17. Supports YMCA healthy eating and physical activities standards through coaching, mentoring, and monitoring menu quality 18. Maintains responsive and cooperative relationships with patrons regarding accounts payable matters. 19. Updates and monitors accounts. 20. Response to average 30-50 emails and 10 -20 voice mails per day 21. Creates weekly balance due report for Director. 22. QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience in data entry with working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing. • Associates degree • Team player • Strong customer service and relationship building skills. • Excellent problem-solving skills. • Must be at least 21 years old. • Completes Praesidium within 7 days of hire date. • Previous experience with diverse populations preferred. • Understands the YMCA is a public accommodation committed to inclusion and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Ability to walk, stand, and sit (including on the floor) for long periods of time. • Exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids. • Must be able to lift and/or assist children up to 50 pounds in weight. • Must be able to lift and carry food and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds. • Ability to stand or sit while maintaining alertness for several hours at a time. • Position may require bending, leaning, kneeling, and walking. • Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate. • Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency • Ability to view/enter data for long periods of time. • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
