Empower Tomorrow: Become the YMCA Youth Program Director and Make a Lasting Impact!POSITION SUMMARY: This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Program Director is responsible for managing program operation, development and growth, participant satisfaction, member and staff retention and safety, staff supervision, onboarding, training, and coaching. As a Program Director at the Y, you lead an environment that is inviting and serves all.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Directs and supervises program activities to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives. Establishes new program activities and expands programs within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations.Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs personnel and volunteers as needed. Reviews and evaluates staff performance.Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals. Ensures records of staff certifications are current and complete.Conducts and ensures proper maintenance of relative program equipment. Secures and schedules program facilities.Conducts and schedules program classes.Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information.Develops and monitors program budget to meet fiscal objectives.Assists in YMCA fundraising activities and special events.Models relationship-building skills (including Listen First) in all interactions. Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.Assists with cabinet meetings.Compiles program statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in programs.Performs other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Current USA Gymnastics Safety Certification or obtain within first 30 days of hire.Complete NinjaZone training within designated time of hire.3-4 years of related instruction, coaching and lesson planning in gymnastics, dance, cheer, and/or ninja.Practical knowledge of progressive skill building as related directly to instructional gymnastics and working knowledge of USA gymnastics.Certified CPR/First Aid/AED within designated time of hire.Minimum 2 years related experience required.Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.Able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
