Position Summary

Direct care staff provide daily case management and residential treatment services for children in the home in which they reside. Care workers provide care to the children assisting them with daily activities such as personal hygiene, helping them with their social skills and being present for them for anything they may need assistance with. Individuals in this role should have a passion for taking care of children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and supervision to children living in residential treatment or group home settings.
  • Implement individualized care plans and behavioral interventions as directed by the treatment team.
  • Develop and facility behavioral programming for the residents in the home.
  • Support children in developing life skills, social skills, and coping mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the well-being and progress of each child.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of each child's progress and any incidents.
  • Provide shift coverage as needed and in emergencies.

Education, Training and Experience

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelors preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Great interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for caring for children.
  • Must be 18 years or older; age 21 preferred.
  • Most successfully complete all background screening requirements.
  • Valid Driver's license.
  • Preferred First Aid/CPR/AED certified.
