Youth Services Librarian (Early Childhood Focus) | Roselle Public Library DistrictPosted on Nov 15, 2024The Roselle Public Library District Youth Services Department is looking for a passionate and proactive Youth Services Librarian to join our department on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will engage well with others, be a dependable and organized self-starter, have an enthusiastic attitude, exercise good judgment, and demonstrate excellent communication skills.Primary duties will involve creating outstanding events and experiences for our community by:Planning and presenting engaging programming for children from birth through sixth gradeWorking with the Youth Services manager to provide direction and implementation of research-based early childhood literacy and learning programsPlanning and carrying out outreach programs and eventsProviding reference and readers' advisory assistance on our service deskServing as a Person in Charge when necessarySelecting for assigned collection areasYour innovative ideas will be welcome on our lively Youth Services team as we strive to create an inclusive space that prioritizes quality over quantity.
