Our focus is supporting individuals by ways of residential housing, mental health and clinical services, and immersing our participants in community engagement. Working closely with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and the Office of Mental Health, we support 27 housing locations and 3 administrative buildings. About the Role We are looking for a proactive employee to provide person centered services and support to children and their family during Children's Home & Community Based services, and OPWDD services.Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting and assisting child with activities of daily living (ADL)
  • Implementing behavioral support plans and guidelines
  • Offering choices and opportunities for the child to engage within the community
  • Monitoring and maintaining the safety of the child while in the home, community, and during transportation
Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma/GED, required. Experience working with children with a developmental disability/acquired brain injury/mental health diagnosis, preferred. Experience working with children with behavioral needs, preferred. Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, required. Basic word process and e-mail skills, required.Conditions of EmploymentMust possess a valid driver's license and transportation necessary to meet program needs. Must be able to demonstrate direct care duties including personal assistance. Must be willing to visit children and families in their home setting. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. PT & FT
